To promote and bring maximum people to the Yellow Pages’ website, d.co.il, we asked local advertising celebrity, G.Yafit, to do “powerful psychic”: Yafit asked users to concentrate on the last site they visite, then to think about d.co.il and press the BACK button on their toolbar. Instead of the last site browsed, users arrived to d.co.il and Yafit proved her “powers”! The secret: websites opened d.co.il before their home page. This way, users are unaware they’re redirected and amazed to see Yafit’s magic. Response rate reached 25%, new Israeli record, and the site recorded 60% increase in entries!
