Orange – Lights Off

Brief: Promote “Orange Time”, a new paying entertainment & movies internet portal

Idea: Using the insight that when lights go out in the cinema it’s the signal that puts us in the mood, we created a site that opens only if you switch off the room lights. Physically. Literally.

Creative Execution: A unique webcam-based technology that analyzes the variations in the light’s intensity. Once surfers activated the site, clicking on the trailers redirected them to the full length movie on the “Orange Time” portal.

Results: In one month, orange became the #1 VOD portal in the country. Click here to visit the minisite.

Yellow Pages – The Psychic

To promote and bring maximum people to the Yellow Pages’ website, d.co.il, we asked local advertising celebrity, G.Yafit, to do “powerful psychic”: Yafit asked users to concentrate on the last site they visite, then to think about d.co.il and press the BACK button on their toolbar. Instead of the last site browsed, users arrived to d.co.il and Yafit proved her “powers”! The secret: websites opened d.co.il before their home page. This way, users are unaware they’re redirected and amazed to see Yafit’s magic. Response rate reached 25%, new Israeli record, and the site recorded 60% increase in entries!

Internet Shutdown

On July 12th 2006, 2 Israeli soldiers were abducted by the Hezbollah. To keep their issue a national priority we invited every major site to stop their activity for 5 minutes precisely 1 year after the kidnap and place a message: “The soldiers cannot be found” (resembling the “The Page cannot be found” text appearing when an inactive website is loaded). On July 12th 2007, at 09:05 the internet stopped! Hundreds of Israeli sites joined and posted the message. Local television and radio networks stopped their broadcast, in solidarity. Awareness reached 65% of the population.
